Welcome to First Academy 2010/2011!  I look forward to spending the school year with you.  I anticipate getting to know you better and sharing exciting times of learning about God and His world with you.

Students in sixth grade Bilble will be studying Decision Quest, designed to learn how to make decisions in God's way.  All students will need their own copy of the Bible (NIV) to bring to class each day.

Seventh and eighth grade science students will need their own pair of safety goggles marked with their name and inside of a plastic ziplock bag.  If you brought a pair last year, they are still in my room, so you don't need to purchase another pair.  I do encourage you to take them home and wash them.  If you need to purchase a pair, they can be found at WalMart in the hardware/tools section for about $2.  Students without goggles will not be able to participate in some labs.  Don"t miss out on the fun!

Pre Algebra students will need a calculator with fraction capabilities.  You'll recognize these if you look for a key that has a/b and a b/c.  Please purchase a Texas Instrument calculator if at all possible.  It's so much easier if we all have similar calculators.  Mark yours with your name with permanent marker.  Please DO NOT throw away the instructions!

I am so blessed to be teaching you!  How many people would love to get paid to study God's Word, to spend their days with young people like you, and to get to have fun playing with all kinds of science stuff!!  God is SO GOOD!
