Welcome back students!
This school year marks the beginning of my sixth year here at First Academy. I am looking foreward to a great school year as we prepare to graduate the great class of 2010!!!! This year I will be privileged to teach 10th, 11th, and 12th graders in either English II, English III, or Bible IV.
A little bit about me: I am married to my husband of 39 years, David, and we have 3 children and 4 grandchildren. Growing up in Orlando, I graduated from Oak Ridge High School, then attended Cincinnati Christian University and Milligan College in east Tennessee, graduating with a BA in education, majoring in English and minoring in Bible. After graduation I taught high school English in Salem, Indiana, before coming home to Florida. Residing in Lake County since 1973, I have taught every level of English from sixth grade through adult education. I have been privileged to lead Precept Bible Studies for most of the last twenty years, and have successfully shared this method with my First Academy seniors. Teaching English is my delight, but teaching the Bible is my passion. At First Academy I am blessed to be able to engage in both.
Go Eagles! Have a blessed year!
