My name is Katrina McDonald, and I am thrilled to be the new Spanish teacher at First Academy for the 2008-2009 school year. I received my education from Florida State University. I earned Bachelor's degrees in International Affairs and Spanish in 2002. I also attended the University of San Jose in San Jose, Costa Rica during the summer of 2001. In 2005 I graduated from FSU with my Master's degree in Spanish. I began teaching undergraduate classes at FSU while completing my graduate studies, and for the past three years I have taught Spanish at Trinity Catholic High School in Ocala. I am excited to begin my 6th year teaching at First Academy. My husband and I have lived in Leesburg for the past two years, and we are expecting our first child in September.
